Meghan wore her vibrant yellow dress to the ‘Your Commonwealth’ Youth Challenge Reception at the start of July. It definitely seems as though Kate has taken direct style inspiration from Meghan’s Brandon Maxwell dress, which has obviously sold out since the Duchess wore it ten days ago.

While this is far from the first time that the Duchess of Cambridge has worn a bright yellow dress, the look comes just ten days after Meghan debuted a very similar style.

In fact, Kate wore a striking yellow dress back in 2014, on her tour of Australia with Prince William. She also recycled the Roksanda Ilincic sheath dress when she attended Wimbledon in 2016:

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex had their first outing together at Wimbledon on Saturday, without their husbands, since Meghan joined the family. While Meghan opted for a stripey Ralph Lauren shirt and cream silk wide-leg pants, also by Ralph Lauren, Kate wore a chic polka dot dress, which she paired with her signature nude heels.

Despite still technically being on maternity leave, the Duchess of Cambridge has had a busy week, filled with important royal engagements. On Monday, Prince Louis’ christening took place at Chapel Royal at St. James’ Palace in London. The service was attended by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as members of the Middleton family, including Pippa. At the christening’s reception, William and Kate served guests slices of one of the layers of their wedding cake, which they had been preserving since 2011.

The following day, Kate surprised everyone by also attending the Royal Air Force’s 100th Anniversary celebrations alongside husband Prince William, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
