Congratulations are in order for Keke Palmer!

The Nope star made her long-awaited Saturday Night Live debut last night, and she began her hosting stint with a truly iconic opening. During her monologue, the multi-hyphenate announced that she's pregnant with her first child in a surprise announcement.

After taking the stage in a cool all-brown look comprised of a long suit coat, button-down blouse, and distressed slacks, Palmer addressed some recent pregnancy rumours.

"There's some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, 'Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant,' and I wanna set the record straight — I am!" she said, opening her coat to reveal her bump.

"I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y'all, but it's even worse when they're correct. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know?" she continued.

"But honestly this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I'm going to be a mom," she said.

In addition to the outpouring of well wishes, fans have compared the Hustlers actress's announcement to Beyoncé's iconic 2011 VMAs reveal, where she opened her suit jacket to reveal that she was pregnant with Blue Ivy.

Palmer is expecting with her boyfriend Darius Daulton. The couple first went public with their relationship in October 2021, though they have most kept their romance private. The actress previously spoke to BAZAAR.com about why she likes to keep her dating life private.

"I don't really do relationship stuff online, mainly because I don't know how I would do it without looking, like, cheesy or something, you know?" she said. "Yes, I'm a hundred percent authentic, but there is stuff that I do save for family and friends."
