Make way, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly; there’s a new edgy couple in town.

Since being romantically linked in October 2021, Pete Davidson has apparently received a few body modifications to commemorate his relationship with Kim Kardashian, from a “few tattoos” to a literal iron branding on his chest, spelling out her name.

The reality TV star and SKIMS mogul explained Davidson’s romantic gesture during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.

“He has a few tattoos. A few cutes one that he got,” she said. “The Kim one isn’t a tattoo. It’s actually a branding. Like, a … branding.” She added, “He wanted to do something that was really different.”

Davidson initially honored their relationship together by getting inked. “First tattoo he got, I was like, ‘Oh, so cute, thank you, oh, my God.’ Second, whatever, ‘Oh, that’s so cute,'” she continued. “But that’s what tattoo people do, right? Like, they get tattoos of what’s going on in their life. Am I special?”

It was apparently the Saturday Night Live comedian’s idea to be branded with her name. “I just think he was like, ‘I want something that’s there that I can’t get rid of,'” Kardashian said. “‘Cause he’s in the process of getting rid of his arm tats and his neck tats. So he’s like, ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up, and I just wanted it, like, there as, like, a scar.'”

She also clarified to DeGeneres that Davidson has “a little more than” three tattoos for her. “The other ones are, like, cutesy things,” she said. “I think my favorite one, it says here [pointing to her clavicle], ‘My girl is a lawyer.’ And that one’s really cute.”

The mom of four also opened up about going Instagram official with the King of Staten Island actor. “I have the cutest pictures of us, and I wanted to be like, ‘Oh, my God, we’re so cute.’ But then I’m like, ‘You know, don’t be so desperate, don’t be posting so much. Just give a glimpse,'” she said. “I don’t know what the right thing to do is. Like, I haven’t dated since before Instagram existed. I don’t know what the rules are.”

Ultimately, Kardashian decided that prioritizing happiness mattered more to her than how she would be perceived publicly. “I encourage my friends and the people I love to be happy, and I went for it. I was like, you know what, I’m in my 40s, f**k it,” she added. “Just go for it. Find your happiness. I went for it. And I took my time and I found it, and it feels so good. And I want to hold onto that forever.”
