One of the most viral friend trios in pop culture today is now taking to the screen together.
Pete Davidson, Megan Fox, and her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, are starring in Good Mourning, a comedy film that will also be MGK’s directorial debut, alongside Mod Sun.
MGK plays movie star London Ransom, whose life spirals when the love of his life breaks up with him over text on the day of the most important meeting of his career, per Variety. “Compounded by chaotic roommates and wildly unpredictable twists and turns, London’s day keeps going downhill until ultimately, he is forced to choose between pursuing his one true love and landing a life-changing, starring role in a major motion picture,” the film’s plot description reads.
MGK shared the photo of the movie poster on his Instagram last night. In it, the Jennifer’s Body actress wears a tie-dye heart cropped T-shirt—giving Clueless vibes—with jeans and rocks a punk pink-and-black do. Meanwhile, Davidson looks flashy in a red suit and bleached blonde hair.
The musician takes center stage in the poster; he’s seen blowing out smoke and scratching his head—on which all the characters are standing—in confusion.
The trailer for the film, which many, including Fox, have described as a “stoner comedy” drops on April 20 (4/20), because of course.
“Good Mourning a stoner comedy starring all of these talented people and my six pack,” Fox wrote over a photo of the movie poster on her Instagram Story.
It’s the first film project MGK, Davidson, and Fox will star in together. The “Bloody Valentine” singer and the Saturday Night Live comedian are longtime friends, and in a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, MGK revealed Davidson will be by his side when he marries Fox.
“I think Pete’s absolutely gonna be standing there with me,” MGK said. “We should just mic him for commentary anyway.”
