When it comes to the royal family, money isn’t in short supply. But how much are the royals worth individually? And, in particular, what are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s net worths versus Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s?

Per Forbes (via Town & Country), the royal family as a whole is estimated to be worth $88 million. But aside from that huge figure, Marie Claire reported this week (via Time.com) that Kate Middleton unexpectedly amassed a large fortune prior to becoming a member of the royal family. Here’s everything we know about how much Meghan and Harry, and Kate and William, are worth:

Kate Middleton is independently wealthy.

Per Money, the Duchess of Cambridge has an estimated wealth in the region of $7—$10 million. Rather than becoming wealthy upon marrying into the royal family in 2011, Kate had already amassed her fortune, mainly thanks to her family’s lucrative business, Party Pieces.

Prince William is worth a lot more than Kate.

Per Town & Country, William is said to be worth around $40 million. The future king inherited large sums of money from his mother, Princess Diana, and from his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother. William was a helicopter pilot in the RAF Search and Rescue Force for several years where he allegedly earned around $70,000 per annum. He also benefits from the Sovereign Grant, which helps to fund the royal family’s expenses.

Prince Harry is as rich as his brother.

Harry is also estimated to be worth around $40 million. Having also inherited money from his mother, Princess Diana, and from the Queen Mother, Prince Harry’s finances are comfortable. He earned a salary from his time as a British Army captain, where Town & Country reports he made around $50,000 per year, and he also benefits from the Sovereign Grant like his brother.

Meghan Markle’s wealth stems from her former career.

Per The Independent, Meghan’s net worth prior to marrying Prince Harry was $5 million. The Duchess earned this from her acting work on Suits, and in movies like Remember Me, and she also monetized her now-defunct Instagram account, and her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
