You've probably been hearing Meghan Markle's name a lot more ever since she started dating Prince Harry last year. (She was even the most-Googled actress of 2016.) But it turns out Meghan isn't even her real first name — it's Rachel, according to recent reports. That's also the official name on her IMDb page.
That means her birth name is Rachel Meghan Markle (the namesake of her Suits character, Rachel Zane). Hardcore fans of the show, however, discovered that fun fact years ago.

Markle isn't alone in going by a different moniker in Hollywood. She joins other celebrities who also go by stage names like Gigi Hadid (Jelena Noura Hadid), Katy Perry (Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson) and Blake Lively (Blake Ellender Brown). It's unclear, however, whether the actress has always been called Meghan, or whether she merely chose it as a stage name. The Daily Mail reached out to Markle's rep for a comment.
Either way, now the tidbit has us wondering what her royal boyfriend calls her.
