Usually, spring wardrobes beckon for the return of prairie or milkmaid dresses (or other cottagecore styles of that ilk). But Mindy Kaling has put her own sultry spin on dressing for this time of year.

Earlier this week, the actress-producer-director shared her latest look on Instagram: a lavender David Koma one-shoulder midi dress featuring a hip cutout and a thigh-high leg slit. She paired the body-hugging look with a pair of crystal-embellished PVC pumps from Amina Muaddi, the It-girl shoe label often worn by the likes of Rihanna, Megan Fox, and more.

Kaling captioned the photos, “💜💜💜.”

The comedian has been busy developing passion projects. From producing Season 3 of her highly acclaimed Netflix dramedy, Never Have I Ever, to revving up for Season 2 of her HBO Max series, The Sex Lives of College Girls, she continues to be a trailblazer for women in TV.

In an interview with ELLE last year, Kaling spoke about creating Never Have I Ever, a series loosely based on her own childhood, and having it resonate with people around the world.

“I think I’m always delighted and surprised that tens of millions of people around the world are tuning into this story, because it seems so specific,” she said. “When you write a story about three Indian women in different generations and different points in their immigration story, you think, ‘Well, this is really specific. I don’t know how universal this is going to be.’ When a story like that resonates all over the world, in Bulgaria and Ukraine and Brazil, it’s life-affirming.”
