Throwback Thursday: Nicole Kidman Wears A Risqué See-Through Dress
The actress is no stranger to rocking a daring outfit on the red carpet.
Nicole Kidman knows how to work any style, always nailing every event she attends in the perfect outfit. So it's no surprise that the Hollywood A-lister nailed the sheer dressing trend long before it became, you know, a trend.

Many fans would likely remember her red carpet look back in February 2008, promoting her then-new film The Golden Compass in Tokyo, Japan. Her dress mixed various textures with a layer of silk and tulle making up the frock, and the top featuring a floral lace design across her midriff.
The highlight of the dress was the bodice, which featured a bralette-style front juxtaposed by a sheer panel extending from neckline to waist. The outfit screamed rock-and-roll with a structured fringed shoulder which looked incredibly chic at the movie premiere. Pairing the outfit with black kitten heels with bows at the toes, a diamond bracelet and a stud earring, the Moulin Rouge! actress looked incredibly elegant and sexy at the same time.

Kidman revealed her method to looking effortless in an interview with Vanity Fair back in June 2017.
"The only one that I consider is to feel relaxed," she revealed "I also want to be able to dance. That’s an important rule for a dress — to be able to dance. At least wiggle!"
The actress continues to turn heads with her outfits in 2023, as well. At the most recent Met Gala, she wore her Karl Lagerfeld-era Chanel Haute Couture gown from 2004, an iconic throwback to her iconic Chanel No. 5 commercial directed by Baz Luhrmann that same year.
