Are Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Getting Married Soon?
The 32-year-old prince has flown over to Meghan Markle's hometown to meet her father and looking "very much in love"
Meeting potential future in-laws is never a fun experience, but it sounds like Prince Harry's introduction to his girlfriend Meghan Markle's father was a royal treat.
The loved-up couple have reportedly paid a visit to Markle's 72-year-old father in Toronto – where Markle films her television series, Suits – who is said to be "extremely proud" of his daughter's budding romance with the prince.
In an interview with the Mail Online, Markle's half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. said the couple looked to be "very much in love," adding: "They're extremely happy together, they look great together and she's done good."
You can say that again, Thomas. However, this wasn't the first time Harry has met Markle's father as it's suggested he first met him six months ago before the pair's relationship was common knowledge.
Talking of his father's opinion on the romance, Markle Jr. said: "He's pretty happy about Harry and he's extremely proud of her. They [Meghan and her father] have an amazing relationship, they're very close and they always have been. She's obviously happy because if she wasn't happy, she wouldn't be there."
"I think it is wonderful," he continued. "As long as he takes care of and loves Meg, he doesn't have to do anything else … he looks like a genuinely good man, and he was in the services as well. He looks happy, he looks like he's stress-free and like he could be a good guy for Meg."
Discussing talk of his sister becoming a future princess, Thomas Jr was quick to point out he couldn't think of anyone better for the role.
She's obviously happy because if she wasn't happy, she wouldn't be there
"She's the right girl for the job [of being a princess]. It's not a job, but she's the right girl. You couldn't get a more refined, well-rounded person than her."
Thomas Jr, who is Thomas Sr's first child with his wife Roslyn before he had Meghan with his now divorced ex-wife Doria, also noted that while Meghan never claimed to have a dream to become a princess, the signs of her royal potential were evident from childhood.
"She did like Cinderella and The Little Mermaid but she never had a Prince Harry poster or anything like that. But still, I think she fits the bill more than anyone," he concluded.
Princess Meghan certainly has a nice ring to it.
