Prince William has given notice at his job—not the job of being Prince, of course, but his other job. For the past two years, William has worked as an air ambulance helicopter pilot at East Anglian Air Ambulance, but he’s leaving to spend more time with his family, E! Online reports.

“It has been a huge privilege to fly with the East Anglian Air Ambulance,” the Duke said in a statement. “Following on from my time in the military, I have had experiences in this job I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and that will add a valuable perspective to my royal work for decades to come…I have loved being part of a team of professional, talented people that save lives every day. My admiration for our country’s medical and emergency services community could not be any stronger.”

William—along with his wife, Kate Middleton, and children, George and Charlotte—will spend more time in London now that his commitment to the East Anglian Air Ambulance has ended, Kensington Palace confirmed. George will even start school in London this fall.

The change comes as William and Kate start to take on more work for Queen Elizabeth, which is good prep for, you know, being king someday.

“The Royal Highnesses are keen to increase their official work on behalf of the Queen and for the charities and causes they support, which will require greater time spend in London,” Kensington Palace confirmed in a statement.
