Spencer said in an exclusive interview with Hello, "I'm the luckiest girl in the world. It’s honestly the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen." Her custom silk rebrodé lace wedding dress had a special place in her heart and was crafted by Versace. The connection between Amelia, Princess Diana and Versace was special, as Princess Diana was a close friend of Gianni Versace and had worn his designs, making the dress a unique and meaningful choice for Amelia. She said, "I think [Diana] would be very proud to see me on my wedding day”.

A previous Instagram post by Mallett with a video montage of Amelia also hinted at the wedding date, captioned "I did a thing for you. 4 months until I marry the love of my life!"
