Will Queen Camilla's Children Get Royal Titles After The Coronation?
Tom and Laura joined their royal step-brothers at King Charles's coronation today.
Alongside husband King Charles III, Camilla was crowned Queen Consort this weekend at Westminster Abbey. And now, many are left wondering whether her children will inherit royal titles.
As readers know, members of the British royal family did get new or additional titles following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last September, when Charles automatically became the new monarch—but such is not the case with Camilla's adult kids, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes. (The royal shares her children with ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles.)
Because Camilla got her royal titles through her marriage to King Charles, not through bloodline, they do not automatically pass on to her children or grandchildren. Her relatives are also not in the line of succession to the throne.

The only way Tom and Laura—step-siblings to Prince William and Prince Harry—can get royal titles is if the king gives them such.
After Camilla and Charles married in 2005, Buckingham Palace announced that Camilla would take on the title of Princess Consort once Charles ascended the throne. However, Queen Elizabeth later expressed her "sincere wish" for Camilla to have the title Queen Consort.
In a letter released the day before her 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne, the late monarch wrote, "When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.
After the queen's passing, Charles became King Charles III (as he followed in his mother's footsteps and opted to keep his birth name), Camilla became Queen Consort, and Prince William and Kate became the Prince and Princess of Wales. The couple's three kids are now Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis of Wales.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's kids also got new titles, and are now referred to as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
