Update, 23/8: Following yesterday’s cryptic post, Taylor Swift just shared another mysterious video on her Instagram, which also appears to be a snake.
Original post, 22/8: Taylor Swift caused a stir on Friday when she wiped her entire Instagram page clean and deleted all her photos, videos, followings and profile picture. Since then, the superstar has kept quiet on the app, while fans speculated the wipeout was a sign she’s going to release new music soon.
But that changed this morning when she posted a cryptic video on her page at roughly 11 a.m. EST. There’s no sound, but it appears to look like some sort of reptile tale, or a snake. If the latter is true, that would be a major play, since people name-called her a “snake” last year after footage of her phone call with Kanye West leaked, proving she knew he would call her out in his song “Famous” all along.

Swift disabled the comments on the video, but fans are already chiming in through other forms of social media, like Twitter.
