Social media measurement company D’Marie Analytics has named the top six social influencers of the moment – and all are young women.

The company analyzed the rate-per-post value for users across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For Selena Gomez – who came in at number one – this was worked out at $550,000 per post. Gomez was followed by Rihanna, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

“The rate-per-post is her ‘ad equivalent’ value per post across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,” Frank Spadafora, CEO of D’Marie Group explained. “This may be different than how much she is actually getting paid when participating in social media campaigns. That is up to negotiations between her agents and the brands. This valuation is based on D’Marie’s algorithm which measures 56 metrics including followers, post frequency, engagement, quality of post, click-thru and potential to create sales conversions from her social content.”

Gomez’s audience is expanding by an average of 200,000 fans daily across the three platforms. However, Spadafora remarked that despite having this huge following, she is engaged in “noticeably less campaigns than other celebrities.” He noted that this might be the key to her success. “I think she is being smart and she’s aware that over-saturating her social feeds with sponsored content could negatively impact the relationship she has with her audience.”
