Happy birthday to Claudia Schiffer! On August 25, the German supermodel turned 50 years old and celebrated while wearing a one-of-a-kind gown by Balmain: a long-sleeved electric-blue number featuring intricate netting and beading.

In a video Schiffer posted to Instagram, the model blows out the candles on her birthday cake while donning the original piece. “Thank you @olivier_rousteing for my beautiful @balmain birthday dress! 💙 I love it.✨🎁 🎂🎉🎈,” she shared.

Schiffer further elaborates on her gift from Rousteing in a video, saying, “This is one of my favourite dresses. … Originally, it was in dark green. It was for the Balmain campaign a few years ago shot by Steven Klein with Naomi [Campbell] and Cindy [Crawford].”

For her birthday, she adds, Rousteing re-created the dress in a different shade. “It’s just absolutely gorgeous. … I absolutely love it. It fits me like a glove. … So well done, Olivier. You’re amazing.”

Later on Instagram, Schiffer showed off more birthday gifts, this time from Dolce & Gabbana. “Birthday made more beautiful,” she wrote in the caption. “Stefano and Domenico thankyou for my custom @dolcegabbana handbag and Devotion gifts x.”
