Update, 4/1: According to reps at Disney, the new dress Emma Watson is seen wearing below is Belle’s “celebration dress” and not a wedding dress. Regardless of its title, Watson looks stunning in it either way.
Original post, 30/12: From the previews and posters, we’ve already seen an impressive display of Emma Watson’s wardrobe as Belle in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast remake.
There’s that blue apron:

This embroidered white dress:

The red cape from the “Something There” scene:

Even this minimal white frock, which we see a glimpse of in the trailer:

And of course, the iconic yellow ball gown:

According new images surfaced online, we now have a peek at another one of Belle’s looks—a celebration dress. It’s truly fit for a princess, with sheer fluttery sleeves and floral embellishments all around. (Perhaps it’s a nod to the enchanted rose?)
The photo, along with other new stills from the film, was spotted on the packaging of new Beauty and the Beast merchandise.

Though some fans have assumed the frock to be a wedding dress, Belle actually doesn’t have a wedding dress in the original movie (she reprises the yellow gown in the last scene when she dances with the newly-transformed Prince). We haven’t seen this look in the original either, but Watson just makes the piece feel like it belongs.
