National Design Centre
Expect: "A State In Play" an artistic exploration of the important experimental processes that precede design work, as exemplified by creations and installations spanning material exploration to computational design.
5-18 March: Peranakan Moderne by Ipse Ipsa Ipsum
11-02, Tan Boon Liat
Expect: An exclusive collection of Peranakan-inspired furniture and accessories created in collaboration with the Peranakan Museum Singapore to pay homage to the past and create a contemporised traditional look for the future.
5-16 March: Connecting Homes Through Design by GINLEE Studio
National Design Centre
Expect: A sartorial showcase that tells the story of how inspiration can come in all forms and how design plays a part in connecting our roots and homes.
8-11 March: International Furniture Fair Singapore
Singapore EXPO
Expect: 374 exhibitors from 26 countries across 15 pavilions presenting everything from Asian heritage-inspired centrepieces for your home, to Star Wars-inspired stools that creative collectors will love.
10-11 March: City Ramble Design Trails
Expect: An exploration of three distinct experiences throughout the city: Stories, where you will get to know five young creatives; Process, which grants you access into different activated spaces in Singapore (like The Mill and Citizen Farm); and Heritage, a guided walking tour across neighbourhoods rich in culture and heritage.
14-18 March: Singapore Urban Design Festival 2018
Keong Saik Road
Expect: The first festival in Singapore focused on urban design, creative pop-ups and the activation of public spaces to showcase interactive works by local designers, architects and digital developers.
15-16 March: Urban Design Summit
Working Capitol
Expect: International design experts and local thought leaders coming together to share their experiences, skills and innovative ideas on place-making and urban design.
16-17 March: BBB Arts Sprawl
Bras Basah.Bugis
Expect: An Arts Sprawl across with a variety of performances, art workshops, an art market, outdoor installations and interactive art works across Queen Street.
16-18 March: Boutique Fairs Singapore
Pit Building
Expect: Over 200 Singapore-based purveyors of artisanal, design-led products from handcrafted aromatherapy essentials by mmerciencore to stylish collections by local or locally-based fashion designers like R.Y.E, MATTER, Ling Wu and OliveAnkara.
17 March: Urban Ventures Street Party
Keong Saik Road
Expect: Local DJs, live bands, acrobats and drag queens to turn the streets of Keong Saik Road into party central while you fill yourself up with gourmet treats at the Artisans Market or get pretty with the free express manicures and face painting services by Vaniday.
