- During the Christmas special, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, revealed that Prince William used to cook "all sorts of meals" for her in an attempt to impress her at the beginning of their relationship.

- William also divulged during the show that he's made "hundreds" of roulades.

Just because you're royalty doesn't mean dating is easy. Apparently, Prince William once tried to woo Kate Middleton by cooking for her during their time as students at St. Andrews University.

The now-Duchess of Cambridge revealed as such during last night's U.K. airing of A Berry Royal Christmas with Mary Berry. The illustrious chef asked Kate, "Does William ever cook for you?"

The duchess responded, "He sometimes does, actually. He's very good at breakfast. University days, he used to cook all sorts of meals. I think that was when he was trying to impress me, Mary! Things like Bolognese sauce and things like that."

Looks like William's Bolognese worked.

Earlier in the holiday special, William revealed his penchant for making desserts.

"I know you're both very competitive," Berry said to the royal couple. "We're having a competition." Accordingly, William gasped comically. "Who's made a roulade?" Berry continued, referring to a dish made by rolling savory or sweet filling into a loaf shape.

"I've made hundreds," William said.

Kate affirmed his statement. "Loads," she said.

Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge split into two teams to compete to make the perfect roulade, with Kate partnering with Berry and William teaming with Nadiya Hussain, a winner from BBC's The Great British Bake Off. I imagine the intensity of rolling a roulade rivaled the time Kate and William raced at the King's Cup Regatta.
