Now that Terrace House: Aloha State is on to Part 4, it makes us wonder what the original cast members are up to. Are Avian and Yuya still in a relationship? Is Lauren making it big as a model and illustrator in Tokyo? How's Eric's cafe doing? Is Eden still pursuing his ukulele dreams? What exactly is Naomi doing back home? Are they all still hanging out?

Well, we obviously had a passionate discussion on the subject and took it upon ourselves to look into the matter.

Lauren Tsai (@laurentsai)

Having been the first to bid Terrace House: Aloha State adieu, the aspiring model and illustrator was (and probably still is) our favourite character. The slightly aloof 18-year-old knew what she wanted from the very beginning (to be an established artist) and worked hard for it.

We're glad to announce that Lauren is doing well as a model in Tokyo (walking shows, staring in magazine editorials, etc.) and is still practicing her craft of illustrating. Lauren Tsai, upcoming It girl — we're calling it.

Eric De Mendonca (@eric_de_mendonca)

Handyman, Eric had a goal of opening up his very own cafe during his time at Terrace House: Aloha State — and he did just before announcing that he was leaving the house. Punchbowl (his cafe) seems to be going strong, and has expanded its menu to food as well. While we hoped that some sort of romance would've sparked between Lauren and Eric while Lauren helped him out with Punchbowl's logo design, nothing did. However, rumour has it that Eric is currently dating Cheri (who joined the house way after Eric left). How'd that happen? You've got to watch Terrace House: Aloha State, Part 4 to find out.

Naomi Lorraine Frank (@naomilorrainefrank)

Sweet but often forgettable, the 23-year-old is evidently having a much more exciting life after the show in Tokyo. Apart from modelling and doing other "influencer duties" (as seen on her Instagram), Naomi has been recruited into the Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City gang. Other than hanging out with Terashima at a red carpet event, she is also rumoured to be dating Uchi. Naomi may as well have been in Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City instead of Aloha State, don't you think? Although, she's still good friends with Yuya and Avian.

Eden Kai/Yusuke Aizawa (@edenkai_official)

Humble, shy, and extremely lovable, Yusuke aka Eden, said goodbye to Terrace House: Aloha State on the same day as Naomi. A passionate ukulele player, Eden has gone past just performing in front of children, but had has his solo performance not too long ago—we're so proud! He has also collaborated with Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City's Adachi (aka Tap, who questioned Mizuki about her dreams—remember that horror?) on a video. His love life may still be a mystery, but we're glad he's progressing just fine with his passion in music.

Yuya Shibusawa (@yuya__shibusawa)

In case you were wondering, yes, Yuya is still in a relationship with Avian, and it seems to be pretty stable (from what we see on social media, at least) too. The 19-year-old aspiring actor has moved to Tokyo shortly after leaving the reality show, and has had a couple of modelling stints. Acting-wise, we're not so sure.

Avian Ku (@aviankoo)

The ever-so-bubbly Avian seems to be friends with everyone, from the Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City cast members to almost every single member in Terrace House: Aloha State — even those who came after her. The cheerful 26-year-old is still working on her swimwear label, ILA Swim, and has plans to break into the Japanese market (but, of course). Other than that, Avian travels to and from Tokyo and Hawaii for work and love.

Having watched Terrace House: Aloha State till the very last episode, we'd like to conclude that the members mentioned above were a much calmer bunch when it comes to resolving issues than the ones who came after them. No, seriously. Keep on watching and you'll know why. One word: Drama.
