In late 2015, Zayn Malik took to Instagram to share his first-ever photo looking smitten with Gigi Hadid. Though they didn't instantly reveal to the fans of their new relationship status at that point, Zayn went on to give an exclusive peek to Evening Standard a year later on with the story of how they first met.

In January 2016, while both of them were still dodging dating rumours and declaring that they were just "good friends," it was also around the time where Zayn was soon to release his music video for his hit-single, Pillowtalk. Flash forward to January 28 and the music video was aired, showcasing Gigi Hadid's guest appearance as Malik's sultry love interest.
