Together, David and Victoria Beckham have cemented themselves as global style icons over the course of their 16-year-marriage. But that doesn't mean the world's most fashionable couple share a similar approach to their respective wardrobes—especially not when it comes to packing.
"I'm one of the best packers you will probably ever meet," the former footballer says in a new interview with Condé Nast Traveler. "I'm obsessed with being ready and having everything in place. I'm very well prepared for any trip that's coming up."
Which, as he explains, is the exact opposite for Victoria. "I have friends that take the mickey out of me for it," he admits. "And my wife is a last-minute packer and nowhere near as organized as me!"
VB may not be a pro at packing, but with such an enviable closet (surely filled with her own designer label and sheath dresses galore), we can only imagine the struggle—and stress—of choosing what to include in her carry-all. Still, Becks would like to see his wife's travel prep take a serious time cut. According to the father-of-four, she really doesn't need to bring much at all anyhow. Well, that is, if she opted for the laid-back look he prefers to her high-end digs.
"I like her wearing jeans and sneakers the best," he reveals. "She wears our son's pair of Converse sometimes. But my favorite is when she wears jeans and a pair of Stan Smiths. I think she looks really cool."
"Really cool," indeed. But still probably not cool enough to start packing lighter—to which we say: Never change, Posh.
