First Look: Inside Fendi's Stunning New HQ In Rome

After undergoing an extensive two year renovation, Italian luxury brand Fendi is ready to unveil the colossal premises of its new headquarters at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, a Roman architectural landmark that is synonymous with the grandeur of the city. The building is decorated with 28 statues on its four facades, each representing the arts and crafts of the Italian population, such as: craftsmanship, philosophy, the genius of theatre, the genius of poetry, painting, and more.

Also, on top of each façade, the following famous phrase is carved: “Un popolo di poeti di artisti di eroi / di santi di pensatori di scienziati / di navigator di transmigratori” (“A population of poets, of artists, of heroes / of saints, of thinkers, of scientists / of navigators and transmigrators).

As such, the arts are deeply entwined with the history of the venue, and it is no surprise that the Italian fashion brand is kicking things off with an exhibition held in association with the City of Rome's Department of Culture and Tourism. Titled Una Nuova Roma. L’Eur e il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, it will explore the idea of the "new Rome" through installations and photographs. The exhibition is free and open to public until 7 March 2016.
