Gigi Hadid Is Hosting The American Music Awards

Gigi Hadid is hosting the 2016 American Music Awards, ABC announced today, along with Saturday Night Live alum Jay Pharoah. The 21-year-old seemed excited to share the stage at Microsoft Theater with her newest co-star.
"Jay is known for his spot-on impressions so I can't wait to take the stage with him to show my goofy side and celebrate this year's nominees!" she said in a statement. Pharoah was equally enthused.
"Can't wait to host the AMAs with the beautiful Gigi Hadid (so much innocence in her eyes) and being in the building with some of my industry friends, who I've probably impersonated at some point I'm sure," he said. "It's gonna be a fun night!"

This year's AMAs will mark Hadid's second time hosting a major awards show. Her debut took place earlier this year when she hosted the Much Music Video Music Awards in Toronto. If her return to the stage is anything like the her first time, we can probably expect a copious amount of (stylish) outfit changes throughout the night.

Hadid will be in a star-studded company the evening of the ceremony—The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, John Legend and The Chainsmokers are just a few of the acts slated to perform.
