Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas have been dating since June, but last night marked the couple’s first-ever red carpet appearance together, at the Global Lyme Alliance Inaugural Gala in New York. For their red carpet debut, Hadid stunned in a white strapless Tommy Hilfiger gown while Jonas opted for a blue suit. Jonas joined the entire Hadid family—Bella, Anwar and Gigi—to support mom Yolanda Foster, who was honoured for her Lyme disease advocacy work with the Power Of One Award at the event.
In her emotional acceptance speech, Yolanda Foster revealed for the first time that her two youngest children—Bella and Anwar Hadid—have also been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
“When my two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, were also diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012, watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey, struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me,” she said upon accepting the award, presented by her oldest daughter, Gigi. “This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve. No child should suffer the way that you do.”
