Hailey And Justin Bieber Skipped The VMAs For A Chill Wine Night At Home

Mr. and Mrs. Bieber skipped the MTV VMAs this evening to fans' disappointment, but the reason is actually totally understandable.

On her TikTok tonight, Hailey Bieber shared a video of her sitting on a couch in her and Justin Bieber's living room drinking a glass of red wine in comfy clothes. The Rhode founder wore a cropped gray top, black sweatpants, and gold hoop earrings. Half of her was pulled up into a messy top knot, while the rest was down, and she seemed to wear no makeup—only her glazed donut skincare.

The intimate video is set to Steve Lacy's "Bad Habit," and at the end, Hailey glances off camera and smiles—likely at her musician husband.

"Sunday is for: Wine. Cooking. Watching TV. ✨ blink if you agree," she wrote in the caption, suggesting that she and Justin skipped the VMAs to chill at home, eat good food, drink wine, and enjoy each other's company.

Justin was nominated for four awards tonight: Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Visual Effects, for his single "Stay" with The Kid LAROI, as well as Best Metaverse Performance for his "An Interactive Virtual Experience" with Wave. Still, that didn't stop him from trading the glamorous night for a low-key one with his wife.

The pair attended the VMAs last year at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in casual coordinating looks. Justin wore a pair of black overalls and a black hoodie and later changed into baggy blue trousers and a tan blazer, which he layered over the hoodie. Hailey also kept it effortlessly cool in a white cropped tank and pants.

At the award show, the "Peaches" singer performed for the first time in six years. "I want to say thank you guys so much," Bieber told the crowd at the time. "I look over here, and I see my beautiful wife, and I just want to say I love you so much." Hailey reacted with a smile and blew her husband a kiss.

Speaking with Harper's BAZAAR for the September 2022 cover story earlier this month, the supermodel revealed what life is like with Justin Bieber, four years into their marriage.

"He's still the person that I wanna be rushing back to," she said. "I might fly somewhere and go do a job, but I can't wait to come back and hang out. And I feel like that's because of the effort that's been put in on both sides."
