– Harry Styles was the host and the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
– The former One Direction singer thrilled fans with his performances and outfits.
– He also released a new single during the show called “Watermelon Sugar.”
Harry Styles‘ appearance on SNL kept the singer pretty busy this weekend.
Not only did he perform a stripped back version of “Lights Up,” he also launched a brand new song called “Watermelon Sugar,” much to the delight of his fans.
From his shoutout to his former One Direction bandmates, to literally ripping his pants off to reveal his underwear, Styles gave viewers a lot to think about. And thanks to promo photos of the star wearing a pink tutu, the internet pretty much fell in instant love with the Brit (if they didn’t adore him already, that is).

THE ONE DIRECTION SHOUTOUT WAS… BRUTAL.
Styles said, “They’re my brothers. Niall, Louis, Liam and… mmm oh, Ringo,” in reference to the fact that Zayn Malik left the band prematurely. And Styles just really loves The Beatles.

In August, Styles opened up to Rolling Stone about his new direction and said, “Now, I feel like the fans have given me an environment to be myself and grow up and create this safe space to learn and make mistakes.” And on SNL, Styles got to be his true self.
