Harry Styles might just have to put his solo music plans to the side for a bit: he’s just landed his first big screen gig. Deadline reports he’s been offered a supporting role in forthcoming World War II movie Dunkirk, alongside headliners like Tom Hardy and Oscar winner Mark Rylance. As its title suggests, the movie will tell the story of the evacuation of Dunkirk, a coastal city in France from which over 300,000 British soldiers were successfully evacuated in the summer of 1940.
Though Harry hasn’t officially signed on to the project, a role is all his, Deadline says (notinghe previously turned down a role in 2014 film Tulip Fever), he “is believed to have impressed the filmmakers with his readings for the part,” so he obviously at least took the casting process seriously. Clearly it’s only a matter of time until he’s thanking Louis Tomlinson in his Academy Award acceptance speech — and hey, maybe he really was just trying to pick up some late-night acting tips from Lindsay Lohan after all.
