Update, 16/12: Taylor Swift spent her 26th birthday at a massive Christmas party at Apple executive Jimmy Iovine's Malibu home yesterday, Us Weekly reports. Despite rumors that she would be flying her squad to Australia's Hamilton Island, Swift instead joined her boyfriend, Calvin Harris, her mother Andrea and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani at the celebration held for both her and Iovine's daughter, Jessica. "Taylor was given a cake and they sang 'Happy Birthday," a source told Us Weekly.
Though they didn't celebrate with her in person, Swift's squad came out in full force on Instagram for her birthday:

In case you were living under a rock this time last year, Taylor Swift was completely dominating the pop culture game. Her album, 1989, debuted at number one in October, and she followed up that success by throwing a 25th birthday bash for the ages. Guests included Beyoncé, Jay Z, Justin Timberlake (wearing a poop emoji hat) and Sam Smith, as well as Swift BFF Karlie Kloss. Casual.

This year, Swift claims she's taking it easy when the big day rolls around December 13, writing on Instagram "It'll be a quiet one this year," but reports say she's flying her entire girl squad—including Kloss and Selena Gomez—to Australia's Hamilton Island for a proper rager. Since Swift will already be vacationing there with her 1989 World Tour crew (all 125 of them), this doesn't seem too far-fetched. Boyfriend Calvin Harris and BFF Ed Sheeran are also reportedly attending, with Hugh Jackman and Oprah expected to receive invites.

So far, Tay Tay has posted three updates from Hamilton Island doing a series of cutesy things: Making friends with a cockatoo, the requisite villa silhouette shot and picking flowers with her crew. We can't wait to see all the Instagrams already.
