There are so many features on smartphones that most users are only utilising a small percentage of their device’s capability—so we’ve done some research to help you sort the functional from the just plain fun. Here are our 10 tips for making the most out of your iPhone; from the setting that makes it easy to find quickly when it’s lost at the bottom of your bag to how to let someone know your exact location via text message. Ideal for the busy working woman.

  1. 1. Quickly insert a photo or video into an email message by pressing once for several seconds in the message body
    2. Save an email draft by pulling down the mail, it will remain available to you at the bottom of the screen until you wish to continue writing
    3. Tap and hold the new mail button to access all your draft emails
    4. Send directions from the Apple Maps app on your Mac to your iPhone, via the share button
    5. Have Siri read your messages outloud by holding down either the home button or the play/pause button on your EarPods and asking Siri to “read me my messages”
    6. Then, compose a reply by telling Siri what to write
    7. Activate Do Not Disturb to prevent your iPhone from ringing between set hours (for example between 11pm and 6am). If any of your favourite contacts call you, or a second call from the same person comes within three minutess, your iPhone will ring
    8. Find your iPhone when it rings at the bottom of your bag by enabling the LED flash for alerts in Accessibility
    9. Quickly send your location from the message app by tapping details and selecting Send My Current Location
    10. Quickly delete emails or messages by swiping right to left
