Midzys, rejoice! K-pop girl group ITZY has announced their Checkmate world tour, which will be stopping by the Star Theatre on January 28.
The tour, which kicked off in Seoul in August before going to the United States, will also make other stops across Southeast Asia: Manila (Jan. 14), Jakarta (Feb. 4), and Bangkok (Apr. 8).

The quintet – Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna – is JYP Entertainment’s first girl group since TWICE debuted in 2015 and the entertainment agency’s first idol group since Stray Kids arrived in 2017. The latter group just so happens to be performing at Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 5.
ITZY’s first full-length album, Crazy In Love, which included the lead single “Loco,” was released last year. The group is also known for other hit songs like “Dalla Dalla,” “Wannabe” and “Sneakers.”

In other recent news, ITZY was recently announced as global brand ambassador for CHARLES & KEITH. They will also be releasing an English-language single, “Boys Like You,” on October 21.
