Yesterday, the actress threw the most lavish birthday party in the history of birthday parties to celebrate her 50th year. Clothing companies PrettyLittleThing and Quay Australia sponsored the fete, which took place at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s private home on Star Island in Miami. There was gold and white decor, a towering multitiered cake, a bustling dance floor, and a star-studded guest list, including friends Ashanti and DJ Khaled. At the end of the night, a spectacular fireworks show lit up the sky.

The Bronx native attended her party decked out in a shimmery metallic dress—custom-made by Versace, of course—that boasted dramatic cutouts and gladiator-styled straps across her chest. She paired the look with diamond-studded hoops by Lana and golden platform pumps.
Earlier in the day, J.Lo’s fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, gave her a $140,000 sleek, red-hot Porsche convertible. According to E! News, an insider said, "She took the car for a spin before the party with A-Rod and looked very excited. [...] It came with a big gold bow on it and was delivered to their house [yesterday] afternoon. The license plate says JLO."
Rodriguez also posted a touching tribute to J.Lo on his Instagram. The video montage, which includes footage of the singer performing and hanging out with her kids, is overlaid with a video of Rodriguez.
“Hi, baby girl. Just wanna wish you a happy birthday,” he says, looking into the camera. “I cannot believe this, baby girl. Since we’ve been together, you have made me feel like every day is my birthday.
