Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney broke their own unspoken privacy rules when they shared a very public kiss in New York City this week.
The usually low-key couple shared a goodbye kiss on Monday on a busy sidewalk, surrounded by pedestrians, before parting ways. Lawrence was dressed in a blazer, boots, and a sweater draped over her arm while Maroney sported a white tee and dark pants.

Though a seemingly outspoken celebrity, Lawrence prioritizes her privacy, especially after becoming a victim of a phone hacking scandal in 2014 that resulted in personal, nude photos being released.
In a 2017 interview with Adam Sandler for Variety's Actors on Actors series, the actress revealed that she has become defensive in public, even against privacy invasions from well-intentioned fans.
"Once I enter a public place, I become incredibly rude. I turn into a huge a**hole," she said. "They say, 'Can I have a selfie?' and I'm like, 'No!'"

The actress and art gallerist Maroney began dating in June 2018 and got engaged in February of this year. In September, they were spotted together at the Marriage Bureau of New York's City Hall, where they were reportedly accompanied by a friend and a photographer, prompting speculation that they had secretly tied the knot.
At the time, Page Six reported that a witness to the City Hall visit had written in a now-deleted tweet, "When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!"
However, neither Lawrence nor Maroney have addressed the marriage rumors. Married or not, the two are cute as hell with their sneaky shows of affection.
