Johnny Depp On Lily-Rose: "She's Been Snatched Up By Karl Lagerfeld"

This year has given us plenty of new fashion muses and celebrity kids to look to but perhaps the most notable to hit the scene has been Lily-Rose Depp. Since making her front row debut at Chanel's Paris-Salzburg Metiers d'Art Show back in March, the 16-year-old daughter to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis has been taking the fashion world by storm. From landing her first Chanel eyewear campaign to starring in the house's Mademoiselle Prive exhibition, ("It was inspiring to be where all that creative thinking took place," she told BAZAAR), Lily-Rose's rising fashion fame has dad Johnny Depp a little concerned.

"What's happening to Lily-Rose is something that I didn't expect to happen this early, that's for sure," Johnny Depp said in an interview with The Daily Mail, "She's been snatched up by Karl Lagerfeld—which is a coincidence, as he spotted her mother when she was the same age, too—and when I see her with make-up and all that stuff, it's really disturbing, because she's a very beautiful girl, and it's all happening so fast."

Depp went on to say that he fully supports his daughter's decision to go into the acting and modelling worlds, "Her becoming an actress was never my dream or my desire for her, but that's what she enjoys doing, and it's her passion and it's where she ended up. And she's got the goods—she can certainly deliver."

Back in August, the teen made headlines outside the fashion world when she declared herself as "sexually fluid" on social media, advocating for the Self Evident Project. Johnny Depp also spoke out on his daughter's decision, supporting her fully, "She's got thousands of followers on social media, and they were all taken completely by surprise. But not me. I already knew because she tells me everything—she's not afraid to say anything to me. We're super tight and I'm very proud of our relationship."
