Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin really had us fooled when they secretly said “I do” last fall, then didn’t confirm it until months later. Although the hot young couple may already be husband and wife, the wedding madness isn’t over yet; they still have a religious wedding ceremony in the works. Here’s everything we know about the Bieber-Baldwin nuptials so far.
The wedding took place the night of September 30 with a star-studded guest list.
Justin and Hailey exchanged vows in front of 154 guests, according to People. Big-name attendees include Kendall Jenner, Camila Morrone, Joan Smalls, Justin’s manager Scooter Braun, and more. Hailey’s close friends, Gigi and Bella Hadid, apparently weren’t at the ceremony since they’re working at Paris Fashion Week.

The venue is a swanky hotel in South Carolina.
The ceremony took place at the Somerset Chapel of Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel in Bluffton, South Carolina. The couple reportedly “fell in love” with the venue after visiting the area, a source told E! News. The Biebers apparently “changed their minds so many times” about the ideal venue (past reports said they were eyeing Canada), but they ultimately agreed on this idyllic southern location.
People reports that after the vows, the guests enjoyed a “post-ceremony cocktail hour ahead of the formal reception with plated dinner at the Wilson Ballroom” in the hotel.

The wedding preparations seemed to cause a disturbance with hotel guests, TMZ reports. According to an email sent from hotel admin, which was acquired by TMZ, patrons would be barred from the spa, pool, and hotel restaurant from noon Sunday to noon Tuesday for the Biebers’ wedding celebrations. Guests were “livid” over the commotion and “last minute” warning, per the outlet.
Justin had some interesting tux choices.
Days before the wedding, Bieber polled his Instagram followers to help him choose a tuxedo for the wedding. The options were an array of absurd suits, so either the singer is joking around, or he’s teasing a wild nuptial ensemble. If the former is true, Hailey seems to be okay with it. She commented on one of his posts, “I like the last one personally.”
They hired Daniel Caesar as the wedding singer.
The Canadian R&B singer-songwriter is reportedly Justin and Hailey’s favorite artist right now, per reports from TMZ and E!. Will he sing heartfelt hits like “Best Part” and “Blessed” at the upcoming ceremony?
The wedding had repeatedly been pushed off this year.
Reports of the Biebers’ religious ceremony have been circulating for over a year now, following the couple’s legal union at an NYC courthouse. In January, it was reported that the ceremony was being postponed due to Justin’s mental health. A source also told Page Six that the couple sent out Save the Dates saying the festivities would take place in February, but that clearly didn’t happen.
Hailey originally did tease to The Cut last year that the ceremony would take place in 2019.

No, Hailey is not pregnant.
A source clarified to TMZ that the short-lived engagement doesn’t imply that a baby is on the way: “100 percent she’s not pregnant.”

Her bridal party will be “small and familial.”
Baldwin also confirmed to The Cut last September that her older sister Alaia will be her bridesmaid, since she was hers last year. She also hopes Bieber’s 10-year-old sister, Jazmyn, can be the flower girl.
The model’s aunt, Kim Basinger, previously teased that both Alaia and Ireland Baldwin—her daughter with Alec Baldwin and Hailey’s cousin—would be “in the wedding.”
They’ll relax on a honeymoon after the religious ceremony.
A source told People that after Justin and Hailey’s second wedding, they’ll be “taking a break” while they “enjoy a honeymoon.” The destination of their post-nuptial vacation is still unknown.
Justin and Hailey visited the Marriage Bureau on September 13, 2018.
TMZ published a photo of Justin and Hailey entering a marriage license courthouse in New York City. The singer reportedly cried at one point of the emotional visit and told his fiancée, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby,” according to a source. Another insider said Bieber thanked a court official for “keeping it on the DL.”
People confirmed the following day Bieber and Baldwin did tie the knot at the courthouse. However, Hailey posted (then deleted) a tweet saying, “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!”
They confirmed their marriage on social media months later.
After leaving fans guessing about their marital status for months, the couple finally confirmed they are married on social media. In November, Justin captioned an Instagram photo with Hailey, “My wife is awesome,” while she changed her username altogether to @haileybieber.
Hailey and Justin were engaged on July 7, 2018.
In case you need a refresher, Bieber proposed to Baldwin during a getaway in the Bahamas last summer. Fans instantly started speculating that they were engaged after a massive ring was spotted on Baldwin’s finger.
Two days later, Bieber confirmed the news with a lengthy, heartfelt post on Instagram. “You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else,” he wrote.
