Despite 2018 being the year of Meghan Markle's royal wedding to Prince Harry, it's Kate Middleton's style which has apparently been influencing shoppers the most.

According to the Evening Standard, eBay's annual retail report for the UK showed that the Duchess of Cambridge has been having a bigger impact on shopping habits than the Duchess of Sussex. Notably, it was Kate Middleton's maternity style throughout her pregnancy with Prince Louis which caught the public's attention, and apparently "generated more online searches on eBay than any other royal over the past year."

It's undeniable that Meghan's fashion choices have made a huge impact on people all over the globe. From bags, to dress, to shoes—anything that the former Suits actress wears is at risk of selling out in an instant. But her sister-in-law is still extremely influential when it comes to style.

The Evening Standard even notes the specific items that fans of Kate have been searching for online over the past year. Apparently, "searches for tailored maternity coats more than tripled in November 2017," during the Duchess' third pregnancy. And when Kate wore that unforgettable red Jenny Packham dress posing outside of the Lindo Wing for baby Louis' first appearance back in April 2018, searches for Jenny Packham designs apparently doubled.

It was also reported, via eBay, that several of Kate's favorite designers, such as Jenny Packham, Alexander McQueen, and maternity brand Seraphine (which was also recently worn by Pippa Middleton) saw a massive surge in online searches, all thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge.
