Katie Holmes—patron saint of big billowing pants—wore two perfect iterations of the oversized silhouette in New York City.

Appearing on Good Morning America today to promote her forthcoming off-Broadway play, The Wanderers, the actress pulled double duty by sporting two different pairs of wide-leg trousers from New York–based label Kallmeyer.

First, Holmes arrived at the studio in a high-waisted satin pair doused in a frothy metallic gold color (think the hue of fizzy champagne bubbles). She styled the statement piece with a white button-up top, a spacious black leather blazer, sheer black stockings, and silver pointed wedge pumps. For an extra pop of color, she carried a teal velvet clutch.

Later, the Dawson's Creek alum was photographed leaving the studio—but not before making an outfit change. This time, she wore Kallmeyer's structured wide-leg trousers in a chocolate brown shade. The pants featured boning at the high waistline and an invisible zipper. Holmes also changed her blouse, now wearing a navy blue zip-up shirt with thin white vertical stripes.

"We live in a world where we have a premiere and you want to look nice, and it turns into being a fashion person, and I'm like, 'Well, I just like to look nice, I'm not really a fashion person.' We all just want to look good," she said, adding that her everyday style is a bit more laid-back. "I love my T-shirts, and I love my vintage T-shirts. They're so yummy. They're a little dirty, a little stained or whatever, and that's me."
