Katy Perry definitely doesn’t have to worry about paying her rent, that’s for sure.
According to Forbes, the pop star is 2015’s wealthiest female celebrity on the planet by raking in a whopping $135 million over the past year, making her not only the top-earning female, but also the third highest paid celebrity of the year.
Perry’s Prismatic World Tour has been the lucrative gift that keeps on giving. Then there was her Super Bowl halftime show, which was watched live by a record-breaking 118.5 million people. Forbes dubs her, in so many words, America’s top “pop export.”
“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company, “Perry said simply on her power and success. “I’m an entrepreneur… I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”
Taylor Swift is the 8th highest paid celebrity with a reported $80 million. She’s also part of the highest-paid couple with her new boyfriend Calvin Harris, beating out Beyoncé and Jay Z.
Rounding off other female celebrities who made the list include Lady Gaga (#25), Bey (#29), Kim Kardashian (#33), Jennifer Lawrence (#34) and Ellen DeGeneres (#12).
The Roar songstress also receives the honour of being highest-earning non-boxer on the list this year, with Floyd Mayweather earning the top spot on the list with $300 million, followed by Manny Pacquiao with $160 million.
