Kendall Jenner knows a thing or two about how to deal with the negative comments that bombard social-media users.
The 20-year-old supermodel, who has over 66 million Instagram followers, has opened up about her experience of cyber-bullying, E! News reports.
Kendall is supporting Be Cool Be Nice, a new campaign that encourages kindness and respect online, has shared advice for victims of bullying in Garage magazine’s issue 11.
“Let’s face it – everyone is going to have an opinion,” Jenner told the magazine, which has partnered with the BCBN and Snapchat to promote the initiative. “[The] best advice I have is to realise just that, everyone’s always going to be saying something and if you concern yourself with that, you’re in for a giant headache. What matters is how you feel. If you like that picture or you feel good in that outfit, fuck it. Gaining perspective does wonders.”
The model is a firm believer in another powerful motto that many of us could learn from.
“I aim to treat others as I want to be treated,” she added. “I know that sounds slightly basic, but when it comes to humans and human nature, the simplest answer is usually the right one. It really is as easy as that.”
