Kendall Jenner Hates Social Media

Wait, what?

Kendall Jenner, who has more than 25 million Instagram followers and another 10 million on Twitter, says of social media, “I hate it sometimes, like, I literally want to throw my phone so I can’t look at it.” The model adds, “It’s all a made-up world if you think about it. Social media… It’s not real. It’s pretty crazy.”

Alongside her sister Kylie Jenner, who similarly has tens of millions of followers online, Kendall voiced her frustration in an interview with the Sunday Times. "I think social media has taken over for our generation," she said. "I hate it sometimes, like, I literally want to throw my phone so I can't look at it. It's all a made-up world if you think about it. Social media, everything, this interview, everything. It's not real. It's pretty crazy."

What also saddens the two sisters, whose combined age is 36, is getting older. “I’m scared of the day I turn 19,” says the 17-year-old Kylie, revealing, “I really don’t want to grow past 18.” Then, looking at her older sister, she says, “You’ll be 20 this year. That’s crazy. And any second you’ll be, like, 21, 22, 23.”

“It’s scary,” acknowledges Kendall, who goes on to generalize, “Life is scary.” She further says, “You see a picture and you’ve changed so much in a year,” to which Kylie, who recently confessed to plumping her lips, adds, “I’ve done so much, physically and whatever.” What do you think about the Jenner sister’s take on social media and aging?
