Kendall Jenner may be known for her minimalist off-duty street style, but that doesn’t mean she also can’t make a statement in a vibrant, eye-popping look.

For example, while stepping out for dinner in New York City last night, the model turned heads in a ’70s-esque leather trench coat featuring a geometric patchwork of blues, browns, and oranges. She tied the coat over a white top, skintight black pants, and a pair of knee-high stiletto boots in chocolate brown.

Lately, the 818 founder’s autumnal style has taken a retro turn.

Earlier in the day yesterday, Jenner was spotted walking around New York while wearing another seemingly ’70s-inspired outfit. This time, her look consisted of a tan shearling jacket and a pair of straight-leg jeans with caramel suede panels in the front, both pieces hailing from Acne Studios.

To finish the ensemble, she wore square-toe brown boots with chunky heels and amber-framed sunglasses.

Jenner talked about the evolution of her personal style in a previous interview.

“I like mixing masculine and feminine. Dressing more grungy and boyish is comfortable and I love to be comfortable,” she said. “When I was a kid, I wore only boys clothes. There were these long cargo pants you could unzip at the knees and they became capris—those were my jam. But sometimes I want to be girly! And my glam team is always trying to convince me to be more girly—we get in full battles.”
