Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially over.

The pair are separated, confirms both People and E! News, though neither Kardashian or West has filed for divorce yet.

"It's gotten to the point where they haven't spent time together as a married couple in months," a source told E!. "They've seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She's known for a while."

According to the outlet, Kardashian hasn't officially filed yet for the sake of her and West's four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1. "She wants to make sure she's making the right decision for the kids," added the source.

Per People, West is aware that his estranged wife will soon be filing for divorce.

"He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future," a source told People. "He’s okay. He’s sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon."

The news of the split follows Page Six's report that the pair spent the holiday season apart, with Kardashian and her family spending time in Lake Tahoe and West at his Wyoming ranch. The couple originally married in a lavish Italian ceremony back in 2014.

Per Page Six, West's behaviour in the past year—including an unsuccessful presidential run and revealing private family matters in public—may have influenced her decision to end their marriage. Reportedly, Kardashian encouraged West to Wyoming so they could quietly and civilly proceed with their divorce.

“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done," a source told Page Six. "This divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot."

Reps for both Kardashian and West have yet to comment on the news, though a source told E! that whenever Kardashian does ultimately file, it will be done with her family in mind.

"It's not about the marriage anymore, she'll always care for Kanye but it's over between them," said the source. "Kim is only focused on what's best for the kids. It's a tough decision for her and she's figuring it out."
