Kim Kardashian channeled Marilyn Monroe when she walked the Met Gala steps in the same nude gown that the late actress wore when she sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy 60 years ago. And while her choice to wear the historic garment has since prompted both admiration and controversy, Kardashian didn’t stop at just one dress.

Today, the SKIMS mogul revealed on Instagram that she changed into yet another dress that belonged to Monroe after the Met Gala. Heritage Auction loaned Kardashian the second gown—the glimmering green number the icon wore to the 1962 Golden Globe Awards.

“To top off my night after The Met, I had the honor of changing into Marilyn Monroe’s Norman Norell dress that she wore to the Golden Globes in 1962 —where she received the Henrietta Award For World Film Favorite,” the reality TV star captioned a series of photos showing both herself and Monroe wearing the dress. “In my quest to find the Jean Louis hand beaded dress that I wore to the gala, I discovered @heritageauctions owned Marilyn’s iconic green sequined gown.”

In the photos, Kardashian also posed with the Golden Globe statuette that Monroe won. She explained, “Further into my research I found out that the owner of the Golden Globe that she received that evening was non[e] other than my friend @jeffleatham. I saw this all as a sign the way that all of the stars aligned. It will forever be one of the greatest privileges of my life to be able to channel my inner Marilyn in this way, on such a special night.”

Kardashian was loaned Monroe’s 1962 “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” gown, which features more than 6,000 hand-sewn crystals, by Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

“Thank you Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for giving me the opportunity to debut this evocative piece of fashion history for the first time since the late Marilyn Monroe wore it,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram earlier this week. “I am forever grateful for this moment. ✨🕊”
