For her portrayal of Princess Diana in the upcoming film Spencer, Kristen Stewart has been channeling the late royal’s famous looks, from the printed jackets to the fluffy blonde wig. But most of the outfits we’ve seen Stewart wearing on set—so far—have been prim, formal, or polished. Her latest appearance is her most casual sighting yet.
Stewart was spotted in a color-block red-and-green jacket, a cream-colored sweater, light-wash jeans, and brown lace-up boots while filming in the United Kingdom last week. As People pointed out, the look is reminiscent of the laid-back denim ensembles the princess used to wear on school runs with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
For the shoot, the Twilight alum was also photographed in a vintage car and on the sands of Norfolk’s Hunstanton Beach.
Spencer, titled after the princess’s maiden name, follows Diana over the course of one weekend at the Sandringham estate, the royals’ holiday home, in December 1991, right before she decides to end her marriage to Prince Charles.
“Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life,” Stewart said in a statement on the film. “It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name; Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her.”
The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, is due later this year. Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall, and Sean Harris will also star. Poldark‘s Jack Farthing will play Prince Charles.
