St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is back — and the stellar line-up is its most diverse yet.
Girl power dominates the 29 acts, from South Africa’s Sampa the Great’s blend of psychedelic blues and spoken word, to 20-year-old Aurora, whose sound has been likened to fellow Scandinavian artist Björk.
Japanese rapper KOHH and Grammy award-winning electronic artist Tourist will also take to the stage alongside Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, while Singapore gets repped hard by the likes of R&B vocalist Sam Rui, hip hop-house outfit ATTAGIRL, jazz-rock band T-Rex and shoegaze post-rock outfit, Astreal.
Forget flower crowns—raise your hands to the sky in layers of lace, leather and leopard print for a head-banging time at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay come 21 January.
