Hands up if you literally can't make it three feet in a dress without the wind being all, "LOL not today, friend" and blowing your skirt up to reveal your underwear? Same. But apparently Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton don't have that problem thanks to a super-smart fashion trick that the royals use to keep their skirts from flying up.

According to etiquette expert Myka Meier, the royals choose undergarments with lots of static so their skirts easily cling. "Often they wear body suits and clothes that actually increase static so it’s much hard for something to fly up," she says. "So you have an under garment that is almost like a body suit that is one tactic that is used."

She goes on to explain that finishing school dictates, "If you do not use weights or heavy weighted material, you make sure it will not fly up by wearing undergarments that keep the fabrics connect to your body."

It's been previously reported that the Queen uses lead curtain weights along the hem of her dresses to keep them down, which apparently sets her back just £1.50.

"I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully. If there is a flap in the coat then I will sew in one on each side of the split to even it up," courtier Stewart Parvin said back in 2012. "And sometimes if she is wearing a lightweight chiffon skirt I will sew in a smaller lead weight the size of a pea or even a length of chain."
