Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, And Archie Are Spending Christmas Break In Canada

- A royal spokesperson has confirmed that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie are currently spending family time together in Canada.
- Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, will be with them, a source tells BAZAAR.com.
- It was previously speculated that the family was taking time off in the United States.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been on a break from royal duties since November and haven’t been photographed or seen since the start of their sabbatical. And while many royal fans may be wondering what they're up to during their time off, a spokesperson for the Sussexes has confirmed the couple's whereabouts: They're currently spending time in Canada with their son, Archie.
“As has been reported, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada. The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both,” reads a statement from the couple's rep.
For security reasons, no further details about their stay will be shared. The duke and duchess also "request that their privacy is respected."

A source tells BAZAAR.com that Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, will join the family of three. It was previously reported that Meghan, Harry, and Archie were spending their time off in the United States, where Ragland resides. They're also expected to spend Christmas with her rather than with the queen and the rest of the royals at Sandringham.
The official statement went on to clarify why Meghan and Harry chose to spend time in Canada, alluding to the time the duchess lived in Toronto while filming the show Suits.
“The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
