After months of suspense (location scouting, secret gown fittings in Paris, etc), Nicole Warne (@garypeppergirl) and Luke Shadbolt finally tied the knot in the most epic way possible. Can we just say, #weddinggoals? Our June 2016 cover girl and one of the earliest influencers in the fashion world met photographer Luke Shadbolt through mutual friends during a party years ago, and the rest, as they say, was history.
While we could just ramble on about how amazing the wedding looked, here are the key points to know about the moments leading up to it, and of course, the big day itself.

1. Dating Days
Behind a successful woman is a very supportive man, These two have been cheering each other through everything for more than 11 years.

2. The Proposal in 2015
Nicole probably thought that Luke was simply taking a picture of her in the beautiful backless Michael Lo Sordo dress while floating through the pink petal-filled lake in Japan. It was then when her romantic (then)boyfriend popped the question.
3. Hen’s Party/Trip
Nicole Warne flew fourteen of her closest girlfriends to Tokyo, Japan, for her hen’s weekend. Once again, her man turned up to surprise her. Cue the “awwwww”…
4. Custom Valentino Haute Couture Gown
The bride-to-be teased us with Instagram posts and stories with her going for secret gown fittings in Paris which made us wonder whose design she’d be walking down the aisle in. And we’re pleased to say that, we guessed it right!
5. Four Other Customised Outfits
The fashion darling have always been very supportive of her long-time friends and their labels, namely Toni Maticevski, Michael Lo Sordo, and Dion Lee. It was without a doubt that they’d too create outfits for her big day. Last but not least, Nicole too wore an Oscar de la Renta beauty at the celebration.
6. The Groom’s Outfit
Luke and his ‘grooms-people’ (as he calls them) were dressed in custom Giorgio Armani for Luke Shadbolt suits.

Nicole’s bridesmaids were dressed in Dion Lee. Every look was customised to the unique character and tastes of each individual—very thoughtful.

8. Location
The nature-loving couple chose to hold their wedding at The Rippon Hall in Wanaka, New Zealand, surrounded by lakes, mountains, loved-ones and good vibes. To say “I do” in front of such a picturesque backdrop is definitely a dream.
9. Nicole’s Veil Took Flight
As her husband captioned: “Poetic timing as our amazing celebrant @modern_love_celebrant announced “You may now kiss the bride”, Nicole’s veil came flying off. Was it the wind? Or was it the power of looooove? ??♂️”
We’d like to think it’s the power of love, if you ask us.
