Prince Harry is known to have a way with kids. It’s no surprise, then, that his young fans just want the best for him, which, in kid-thinking, is the English throne.

During the taping of a children’s TV show at a Berkshire, England, elementary school on Tuesday, a nine-year-old boy asked him, “Are you ever going to be king?” Harry, who is fifth in line for the crown, chuckled in response, “That’s the question everybody wanted, let’s be honest! You’ll be glad to know, probably not!” Because the little boy looked disappointed (who wouldn’t be?) Harry ran over to him, “Oh, look at that disappointment! I love that! I’m going to give you a high-five,” he said. Watch the exchange, below, at 0:32.

Throughout the day, Harry participated in a series of games like wheelchair basketball drills and one where kids throw balls at cutouts of his own face.

The young boy he high-fived, named Tristan, later said, “I just want Prince Harry to do what he wants, what he really, really wants.” (Is that a Spice Girls reference?) “I think it would be a fun experience for him to be king. I would love to see him be king,” he continued. Wouldn’t we all?
