This is not a drill—the Sussex family Christmas card is here!

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Twitter account posted an absolutely adorable—and unexpected—Christmas message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex today. Because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking cautious measures to secure their privacy while on their extended break from royal duties, many were speculating the family would not share a Christmas card this year.

“Just sharing the sweetest Christmas Card from our President and Vice-President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Very Merry Christmas, everyone!,” the tweet from the organization read. The royal charity, which supports young leaders around the world, boasts Harry and Meghan as its president and vice president, respectively.

The card includes a black and white image of the royal couple in front of their Christmas tree with baby Archie taking center stage of the seriously cute snap. Meghan is wearing a chic but simple knit sweater and black trousers while Harry dons his signature crisp white button down shirt. The image was taken by actress and photographer Janina Gavankar, who is friends with the duchess.

A source told BAZAAR.com that the e-card was sent to friends, family, and the charities and patronages the couple have worked with. They decided to send a digital Christmas card as an environmentally friendly alternative to greeting the masses around the world.

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours,” their message reads.

It was recently revealed from royal palace officials that the family was spending their Christmas break abroad in Canada, rather than joining the queen and other royal family members at the annual stay at Sandringham. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is reportedly joining them for the holidays as well.

“As has been reported, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada,” read the press statement. “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
