Princess Beatrice Announces Her Engagement To Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Get ready for another royal wedding

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

- Princess Beatrice, the older daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, an Italian entrepreneur.

- They became engaged earlier this month in Italy.

- Their royal wedding is set for 2020.

Another royal wedding is in the books for next year. Princess Beatrice, the older sister of Princess Eugenie and daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, is engaged to her Italian entrepreneur fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. She calls him "Edo" for short.

According to the official announcement by her parents this morning, the princess and Mozzi got engaged during a weekend in Italy earlier this month. Their royal wedding is scheduled for 2020, but no other details about the nuptials have been released. The announcement comes almost one year after Beatrice's sisterPrincess Eugenie, married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle.

The happy couple said of the news, "We are extremely happy to be sharing the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."

Prince Andrew and Duchess Sarah are "thrilled" for their daughter and future son-in-law, they said in a statement. Mozzi's parents are "delighted" over the news, and say the couple are "made for each other."

Mozzi and Princess Beatrice kept their relationship low-key, but reports first broke in November 2018 that they were dating. In March this year, they attended their first public event together, at the National Portrait Gallery.
